ABOUT DAN

I approach technical and design solutions from a holistic perspective. My method is not just to tell clients my solutions to their needs, but also to ask detailed questions in order to provide clients with a thorough and positive experience and to give all clients a truly unique set of solutions to fit their personal and business needs. Most clients are amazed at the amount of "hand holding" and patience that I exhibit with them. No question is stupid, you aren't expected to know it all, that's my job.

I have been a freelance designer and salaried "web" employee for over ten years in the Portland metro area in various job situations. I've done freelance through Filter Talent, Aquent and a few others at large corporations, as well as worked in smaller shops with as few as three employees. This most often is as a team member in small ".com" start-ups.

I have experience with all client types: educational, governmental, non-profit and private sector from large to small business and even non-business owners (average joe's and jane's).

Types of work include but not limited too: Internet application development, GUI design, corporate level branding and art direction for both Internet and print collateral projects, lead Information Architect, specification author and project manager/training coordinator, while working in the corporate sector with clients such as Sojitz Trade Management Solutions, PPM Energy, PGE, ClearChannel Communications and Intel.

I have completed two bachelor degrees. The first is in Electronic Communications and Culture from Washington State University, Vancouver (1998) and the second is in Art/Graphic Design from Portland State University (2005). If you want to learn more, then email me directly or use my contact form.
