ROLE: Art Direction, Logo Branding, Information Architecture, HTML Authoring
PROBLEM: The Digital Display Working Group's goal is to create industry standardization for digital display hardware input/outputs. Branding was to reflect this goal with a visual cue of some sort. Development of their brand included both print and web.
SOLUTION: Use of san-serif font with a moving "swoosh" through the abbreviated name visually demonstrates a "bringing together" of the parts. The "swoosh" portion of the design contains the spelled out name suggesting that the standard covers all.
This logo is currently being used on their site and in all print collateral material.
